The 2019 One Eye Film Festival will be held at the Dubbo RSL Memorial Club on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 7 pm.

Join Dubbo Filmmakers for a night of International and locally made short films at the 7th annual One Eye Film Festival. There are no prizes, there is no theme. We exist to promote filmmaking and film viewing around Dubbo and surrounding areas. You’ll enjoy short films from up-and-coming as well as experienced filmmakers including documentaries, drama, comedy, music video and art films. You’ll also have the opportunity to view the first episode of Dubbo’s very own web series – To The End of the Earth.

Thank you to all the amazing filmmakers who submitted their films.

The One Eye Film Festival is open to all filmmakers who can demonstrate a strong link to this town of Dubbo or our region. That link might be thematic, geographic or a delightful accident of birth. Entry will be free in the following categories:

  • General: Short films 7 minutes or less, all genres with a connection to Dubbo or the surrounding area (free entry for members, $US5 for non-members)
  • JOEYS – Primary Students: Short films by primary-aged students up to 2 minutes long (does not need to be associated with a school) FREE ENTRY
  • JOEYS – Secondary Students: Short films by secondary-aged students up to 4 minutes long (does not need to be associated with a school) FREE ENTRY

In addition, we have introduced new categories to give local audiences and filmmakers the chance to see films that generally can only be seen at festivals:

  • Australian shorts
  • International shorts
