Getting your film festival ready
Dubbo Filmmakers One Eye Film Festival (OEFF) has a set of recommended technical specifications which are typical of most film festivals:
- Frame size: 1920h x 1080v (1.0)
- Frame rate: 25.00 frames/second
- Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square pixels (1.0)
- Fields: No Fields (Progressive Scan)
- Audio Settings/Sample rate: 48000 samples/second
But what does it all mean? And how can you make sure you meet these requirements? And why does it even matter?!
During this workshop, experienced filmmaker and one of Dubbo Filmmakers’ founders, Peter Aland, will talk about common trips and traps to avoid in order to meet the OEFF specs. And feel free to come along with any specific questions you might have about your project.
Also, Erifili Davis will talk about the FilmFreeway platform, used by most film festivals to accept entries from filmmakers (including OEFF).
The workshop is free for Dubbo Filmmakers full/financial members or $5 (plus processing fee) for non-members.
